AU: Annie Odair post war. Katniss’ POV

After Finnick died and Annie had her son, she changed. When I went to visit her with Peeta, the odor in her house reminded me of Haymitch’s. Clearly the death of Finnick has ruined her because she resorts to drinking and drugs to keep her mind off of him. She even sleeps with a small trident held in her hand, just like Haymitch sleeps with his knife. I want to help her, to fix her, so she can raise her son in a better environment. I know it isn’t my place to talk or tell her how to deal with it because losing the man you love isn’t the same kind of pain I get from the lose of Prim. It’s a different kind of pain, a pain I hope to never encounter.
